Gareth “I want European Football” Barry: Linked with Arsenal for nearly two seasons starting in 2008. Signed from Aston Villa to Mercenarychester City on 6/2/09 for a mere £12m to Villa, oh, and a £60,000 a week raise.
Yaya Toure: linked every season to Arsenal and every season basically says “why would I want to play there?” Barca got him to sign a one year extension in 2009, staving off speculation at least until January 2010.
